YOU AND YOUR PET You And Your Pets UCHS's Dolly ready to leave footprints on your heart By Judith-Anne Kolu info@uppercredit.com Dolly leaves footprints in the snow, but she would rather leave them in your heart! Dolly is a three-year-old, female, tan and black German Shepherd/mix, medium sized but chubby at 50 lbs. Dolly has lived life as a stray, sheltered in another facility and now looking for love with UCHS. Staff is confused why Dolly was never claimed, as someone took the time to give Dolly functional obedience training. Dolly's reactions to commands are immediate and she is very easy to work with. Dolly loves fetch and will play for hours; snow makes it even more fun. Dolly's exuberance on walks is curbed by a no-pull harness, which works very well to control her high energy. A fenced yard is a necessity so that she can enjoy hours of playtime in safety. Happy-go-lucky Dolly can become over excited and jump on people while playing or greeting visitors; so an adult family or Congratulations to my Mom & Dad on their engagement! Love, Cora February 14, 2017 Three-year-old Dolly is a vocal pup who is well trained and listens carefully. Submitted photo one with children over 16 would be the best match. Dolly is not recommended for a home with smaller dogs or cats; she tends to get over excited with new dogs and may not pick up on their cues of wanting to finish the interaction. Dolly is a vocal lady (talks when she greets you with little squeaks and likes to exercise her bark during play) therefore apartment living or attached housing would not be a good choice for a permanent home for Dolly. If you feel Dolly might be of interest to your family, call the Shelter at 519-833-2287 or email info@uppercredit.com to meet her. NORTH HALTON KITTEN RESCUE NHK BOOK, CD & DVD SALE!! Charity #815318134RR0001 NHKR: Brothers ready to take the next step By Barb Johnson info@nhkr.ca Burger, Whopper and Big Mac were 14 weeks old when their owners moved and abandoned the boys outside. For several weeks, they found shelter and food scraps under the nearby Chip Wagon at Steeles Ave. and Trafalgar Rd. By the time NHKR was called the boys were thoroughly terrified by the traffic and people attempting to catch them. It has taken months of patient and gentle handling to convince the boys to trust and enjoy people. Whopper is the first brother ready for adoption. He overcame his fears when he experienced chin scratches, ear rubs and long strokes down his back. Next he discovered people had toys and would play toss if he chased the toys. He is still wiggly when held too long but even then he doesn't scratch because he knows his people will release him. Nail trimming is easily done -- as with most young cats play time first then nails. And he is clean with his litter box. Whopper would enjoy another friendly pet to play with him. He is not aggressive and gets lonely if he doesn't have 905 -703-9365 Full service grooming for all breeds. ·Exceptional Service · Competitive Pricing By Appointment Only Fallbrook Trail, Georgetown www.groomingtransfurmations.webs.com Whopper is very easy going and would like another animal friend at his forever home.
