The Oakville artist not only paints watercolours, she handpaints black-and-white photographs, a practice she started after seeing old hand-painted photos while she was shopping for antiques. "They're back `in ' now," she said. "So I decided to try that, too." Her photographs, mostly portraits of children and families, are painted with oils, but she prefers watercolours or acrylics when paint ing landscapes, still life and architecture.
