It's such a nice town. Kicking off a new life in Oakville is helping two Syrian refugees pursue their love of soccer. Yousuf Al-Moulieh, 18, and his cousin, Rami, 19, along with their respective families, recently moved to Oakville after relocating from Syria. Yousuf has been in Oakville since December 2 0 1 6 , while Rami just arrived at the end of February, and both are being given the chance to play soccer -- a life-long hobby and dream for the relatives, respectively. Their two families were sponsored by and co-ordinated through Oakville' s St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church. "We feel so happy because it' s a wonderful opportunity to come to Canada and the Town of Oakville. It' s such a nice town. (We get) more of an opportunity to play soccer here. It' s the most amazing hobby. We like it," said Yousuf. Rami, whose responses were translated by Yousuf, said he' s "so happy" to be in Oakville because he can further his affinity of the sport and try to achieve his dream of playing professionally. Both youths have been playing soccer for 15 years. "I will do my best to achieve my dream," said Rami. We get more o f an opportunity to play soccer here. It's the m ost am azing hobby. "In the future, he wants to be a good player and find a good team to play with and achieve his dreams," said Yousuf, who enjoys the sport because he gets to play with others, while Rami likes the quietness it gives him.
