Last Thursday, Match 2, UWO an nounced the community contributed $4.5 million to its fundraising campaign, the last under the Oakville name, as it will merge with the Milton, Halton Hills and Burlington and Greater Hamilton United Ways as of April 1. The groups will then become United Way Halton and Hamilton. The tally, the largest ever in UWO's 61-year history, was revealed at its Com munity Celebration Night, held at the Oakville Conference Centre.
