The Titans will be the Golden Horseshoe Athletic Conference representatives at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Asso ciations tournament scheduled for March 2 2 2 4 in Mississauga. Bishop Ryan was the Hamilton Catholic champion. Last Friday at Sixteen Mile Sports Com plex, the Titans continued their undefeated streak in Halton league and playoff action with the win over Loyola. The Titans handed the Hawks (8 -1 -2 in Tier 1 regular-season play) their only other loss back on Dec. 12. Loyola shooters just couldn't beat Titans goalie Justin Hui. The only goal Holy Trinity needed was a first-period marker by Jeff Rice (assisted by Nate Taylor), but teammate Robby Giunta added an insurance goal late in the second period when he broke in alone on Hawks goalie Chris Vezina and knocked in his own rebound on an unassisted effort. Loyola didn't quit, however, and tested Hui repeatedly in the third period. It was during that penalty kill when the Ti tans delivered the back breaker. Nate Taylor, one of three penalty killers on the ice for the Titans, flipped a perfect pass to Cam Rosborough, who was just exiting the penalty box. Rosborough beat Vezina on a breakaway to up the lead to three with less than 11 minutes to play A busy Hui was happy about the abrupt switch in mom entum , brought on by a play that is definitely not worked on in practice. "N o," he laughed. "I think it was just something (today) that worked and ended up in a goal." -- Kevin Nagel v r PENTECOSTAL fl 1 ^ / If you'd liketo advertise your place of worship in this feature U J jU L i pleasecallJEN N IFER G O U L D 289-293-0683 PRESBYTERIAN Knox Presbyterian Church warmly welcomes you to grow with us in faith this Sunday PRESBYTERIAN Bible Teaching & Worship Service, 12:30-2:30pm (SOUTH RIDGE ROOM) 1051 Glenashton Dr. Glenashton & Eighth Line FRID A Y Teaching & Youth Service 7-8:30pm Tel: 416-892-8123 Fax: 1-866-281-5983 Pastor: Elder M.J.
