In an effort to ensure a safe, fun and reward ing experience, this new program provides infor mation, resources and training opportunities for administrators, parents, coaches, volunteers and children. A s the first o f its kind, the voluntary High Five program offers training that is appropriate for recreation providers, sports groups, beforeand after-school programs, and community orga nizations that offer programs for children aged 6 to 12. High Five resources will benefit families con cerned about the quality o f their children's sports programs, coaches seeking guidelines for quality programming, officials interested in sport safety, and administrators wanting policy development tools. The High Five program has been implement ed throughout Halton by the Recreation and Leisure Departments and the Region o f Halton Children's Services and Community Health Services.
