Paul Air Canada Captain (retired) After a short struggle with metastatic melanoma, Paul passed away peacefully in the evening of Thursday March 9th, holding the hands of his wife Kathy and daughter Amanda. Survived by his adored aunt Josephine Davison and his sister Joanne Clearwater, Paul will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Paul lived an incredibly blessed life in choosing a career of passion. After 6 years as an RCAF officer with the Air Force ('58-'64), Paul began working as a pilot for Air Canada in 1967 and spent most of his career as Captain, retiring in 2000. However, his love for planes inspired him to go on to become an international simulator instructor, contributing his experience to the next generation. Paul's other love was his time spent at the family cottage in Muskoka. Surrounded by nature and family history, Paul enjoyed his summer days filled with rides on the water, feeding the wildlife and happy hours and dinners on the deck. The sheer magnitude of daily sunset pictures are a record of Paul's love of his time spent there with his family and his friends. While Paul's fight with cancer was a short one, it was fortunately one that was void of pain. A Memorial Service to celebrate Paul's life will be held at Trinity United Church on McCraney St. E in Oakville at 12 p.m. on Saturday March 25th. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations be made to Ian Anderson House of Oakville. The dedicated and compassionate care of Paul by the staff and volunteers there made for the final days to be filled with supported warmth and love.
