The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television presented the CSAs last week during a series of events that culminated in a gala held March 13 in Toronto. The CSAs celebrate Canadian produc tions and talent in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes in film, television and digital media. Kieran McKay (Com puter Animation '0 9 ) won in the Best Visual Effects category for the program Vikings: The Last Ship. John Simpson (Media Arts '0 5 ) also won for Best Talk Program or Series as part of the team behind The Marilyn Denis Show. "Congratulations to our alumni who won CSAs this year," Ronni Rosenberg, Dean of Sheridan' s Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design, said in a media release. "Our graduates are truly the best ambassa dors of the rich talent our programs nurture, and it' s wonderful to see how they are influ encing Canadian media," Rosenberg added. Sheridan graduates received a total of 30 nominations for this year's CSAs.
