In her 11 years living at Trafalgar Lodge she considered it her personal mission to w e lcom e n e w residents and help th e m a djust socially to th e ir n e w hom e. This in no w ay a ffe c te d her a b ility as a hom em aker, she w o u ld always be a t hom e fo r lunch w h e n th e kids w e re a t L in b ro o k School. P & L was w e ll received by th e O akville c o m m u n ity, b ecom ing th e g o -to shop fo r com m ercial accounts, a nnual school books and supplies fo r th e fo u r O akville hig h schools, w e d d in g in v ita tio n s , H a llm a rk cards, g ifts and so m uch m ore. Pic and Lois became very in vo lve d in w h a t was th e n called th e D o w n to w n O akville Businessmen's A ssociation w h ich la te r became th e second association in O n ta rio to be desig n a te d a Business Im p ro v e m e n t A rea. A fte r Pic's u n tim e ly d e a th in 1979 Flo im m ersed herself in b o th th e business and her B IA in vo lve m e n t, w o rk in g w ith th is d e d ica te d g ro u p o f people to d e ve lo p a v ib ra n t, diverse d o w n to w n c o m m u n ity, and chaired th e D o w n to w n O a kville BIA fo r over 17 years and loved every m in u te . Duncan and Ursula m oved to O akville, O n ta rio , w h e re th e y had th e ir fa m ily. A fte r Ursula passed aw ay in 2000, Duncan and Susan's frie n d s h ip o f m any years evolved and th e y m arried.
