The LEAP Manifesto (leapmanifesto.org) is a set of policy proposals that discuss climate change, social justice, democracy and the chal lenges that lie ahead for humanity, in building a world based on peace, equality and environmen tal sustainability. The event, open to all, is organized by Advance ment of Women Halton, a coalition of womens groups that analyzes issues related to women. "Most Canadians believe no one who works full time should have to live in poverty," says Maureen Weinberger, chair of Poverty Free Halton, one of the sponsors of the event. The event is being sponsored by: the Oakville and District Labour Council, UNIFOR Local 707, Community Development Halton, Poverty Free Halton, Living Wage Halton the Council of Canadians, Halton Chapter, among other groups. This Changes Everything , was runner-up as the best documentary at the 2015 Toronto Interna tional Film Festival (TIFF). Lewis' film is based on the 2014 book of the same name written by his partner, award-win ning and best-selling writer Naomi Klein, author of No Logo and The Shock Doctrine.
