Presented by musical theatre company Angelwalk Theatre, Any D ream W ill D o combines narra tion and "juicy gossip" to tell the life behind the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, says Nethersole. Conceived by Adrian Marchuk, with musical direction and ar rangements by Chris Tsujiuchi. Nethersole is part of the cast, which includes Marchuk, Saman tha Hill and Kelly Holiff. Nethersole, who is a graduate of Iroquois Ridge High School, says he was attracted to the arts at a young age. "I was very m uch interested in dance," Nethersole said. "You couldn't stop m e." He also liked to act. After high school, Nethersole studied dance, vocal, acting and performance at Sheridan College' s renowned Music Theatre Performance Program. He also took part in the Canadian Music Theatre Project (Canada's first in cubator program for devel oping new musical theatre works by Canadian and in ternational composers, lyri cists and book-writers) and was in one of the first work shops for the musical C om e F rom A w ay , which is now running on Broadway Since graduation, Nethersole has been working steadily. His stage credits include: R itchie in A C horus Line (Stratford Festival), T he H ypochondriac (Stratford), Sw eet C harity (Shaw Fes tival), P ygm alion (Shaw), A in't M isbehavin' (Magnus Theatre), Legally B lon de (Drayton Entertainm ent), H airspray (Rainbow Stage), E lf (The Grand Theatre) and Jam es in Jam es and the G iant P each (Young People's The atre). After Any D ream W ill D o , Nethersole will be travelling to Regina, Sask., to perform in T he Little M erm aid at the Globe Theatre. He also ap pears weekday mornings on Kids' CBC as Sylvio Snake in T he M oblees. Through his w ork in M oblees, which is affiliated with ParticipACTION, a national non-profit organization whose mission is to help Canadians sit less and move more, Nethersole had the opportunity to travel to the W hite House, in Washington D.C, to meet former First Lady Michelle Obama. Nethersole, who has trav elled extensively for his work, still calls Oakville home. He doesn't have any plans to travel to the United States to find fame. Toronto is the artistic equivalent to Broad way in New York City, he explains. Being artistically satiated and financially stable are im portant to Nethersole -- who enjoys telling stories and get ting lost in a character. "I love what I do," he com mented.
