Joan was born in Pelaw, north of England to James and Francis Conville. Joan and her beloved husband Tom moved to the south of England and eventually emigrated to Canada in 1968 with their four daughters. A gracious, elegant lady, who inspired us all with her creativity and love of life. She was an accomplished artist, amazing knitter and seamstress. Joan worked at the Oakville Public Library for many years. In their later years Joan and Tom travelled the world extensively meeting and inspiring many. Mum was an avid walker her whole life and losing her leg didn't hold her back she still danced every chance she got. Joan is survived by her four daughters Christine, Helen, Joanna, Kate and honorary 5th daughter Julie. Grandchildren Sarah, Simon, Timothy, Dylan, Natasha, Nicholas, Emma and Teddy her great-grandson. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Kensington and C.C.A.C for all the generous nurturing care over the past 6 years. Gwen was born in Lucknow, Ontario but lived many years in Oakville. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John Wilson (2011), her parents Philip and Jean Stewart and her brother Lloyd Stewart. Much loved mother of Ross (Wendy) Wilson and Sandra (Joe) Jacques. Cherished grandma of Harold, Graham, Christopher, Evan and Ashley and proud great-grandma of Brody Jacques. Beloved wife of 61 years and best friend to Nicholas; devoted mother to daughter Laurel (Rick), sons Philip (Debbie), Howard (Brenda) and James (Lynne); cherished grandmother of Elisabeth (Michael), Jonathan and Robin. Served in World War II and achieved the rank of Corporal in the Women's Division (WD) having joined the Air Force at age 18. She served at #4 Service Flying Training School in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; #12 Service Flying Training School in Brandon, Manitoba and at RCAF Headquarters in Ottawa. A devoted mother of five for whom family meant everything, she also sought to influence the world outside her home in a positive way by volunteering at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for 40 years and as an active member of her church. Her green thumb was also legendary, as was her love of travel, from Hawaii and Greece to Egypt and Tunisia. Thank you to all those who cared for her, especially the staff of Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. MUNRO, Lillian (nee Grant) In March of 2017 Lillian passed away comfortably and peacefully at the North Shore Hospice in North Vancouver, BC at the age of 77. She was surrounded by her adoring family. Lillian was a happy and thoughtful lady, one of the nicest women anyone could meet. She was predeceased by her loving husband. Carman, of 54 years. A cherished mother of Gail, Scott and Lisa, and wonderful grama of Brittney Vivian, Cole and Cooper Munro Theobald. Loving mother-in-law to Wayne Theobald and Greig Vivian.
