But that's not the only thing that sets this dance school apart. Glen Abbey Dance is a not-for-profit organization, offer ing "quality dance classes to children from every socio economic strata". The idea struck directress Suzanne Stapells over 20 All Girls Aged 5-20 years ago when she was living in Mississauga, to open a Interested in Playing Hockey for dance school in her community that all children could enjoy. Her only goal was to charge enough per class to cover irls ockey ssociation expenses, while being able to offer quality classes and fun for the kids. Because the schools offer recreational dancing, there are no competition fees or exams. Although children do delight in performing at the Christmas Open House and the annual Spring Show at the Meadowvale Theatre - and call the Hornets HotLine costumes for both shows are included in fees! When Suzanne moved to Oakville (Glen Abbey) in 1985, she decided to open a new dance school in her new neighbourhood, called Glen Abbey Dance.
