3 A pedestrian struck earlier this month on Dundas Street died of his injuries in hospital last week. On Thursday, April 27, the 39-year-old man succumbed to the injuries suffered during the collision and died in hospital, said Halton Re gional Police. At the request of family, his name will not be released. On Wednesday, April 19, Halton police re sponded to a serious personal injury collision on Dundas Street, east of Post Road. Police said the pedestrian walked across Dundas Street in a northerly direction at about 6:30 p.m. An eastbound transport truck driven by a 32-year-old Brampton man struck the pedestrian. The Halton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit attended the scene and took over the inves tigation. Dundas Street was closed eastbound for approximately five and-a-half hours. Speed and alcohol are not considered to be fac tors in the collision, according to police. This is not the first such accident on Dundas Street this year.
