Joyce was an accomplished artist, once an esteemed member of the Lakeshore Artists Association in Montreal's West Island and then later the Oakville Art Society of Oakville, Ontario. While an artist of many talents, she is best known for her paintings of children in many different scenarios which soon became known as " The Kellock Kids". UNICEF, Governor General Roland Michener, hockey commentator Ron Maclean and numerous others were and are proud owners of her artwork. She leaves behind her loving husband Ed Boyer and his four children Pat, Don, Raymond and Lyn, her three children, Linda, Bob, and Peter and their families, her loving brother Ian McLaren and his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as the many wonderful cousins and members of the McLaren, MacPherson and Kellock clans, the loving Lunn family, and many friends inside and outside of the art world.
