Support and Housing Halton hosted a flag raising ceremony Monday, June 19 at Town Hall, with appearances from Oakville Mayor Rob Bur ton and councillors. Today Thursday June 22, Support and Housing Halton' s Diversity and Inclusivity Committee will host a Celebrate Pride Day with activities and a barbecue at its Oakville office, 599 Chartwell Rd. The free event runs noon-3 p.m. Ward 3 Councilor Dave Gittings will make remarks on behalf of the mayor' s office. A number of the Region' s partnering agencies will be in attendance including STRIDE, United Way Halton and Hamilton, ADAPT (Halton Alcohol Drug and Gambling Assessment Prevention and Treatment), Canadian Mental Health Association Halton branch (CMHA), Mississauga Halton Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) and a number of others, including staff and clients that Support and Housing Halton aid.
