The Grade 12 students from Oakville and Mil ton each picked up $2,500 for their submissions to the OMDREB Scholarship Award program. The recipients, including Daniela Fisico (Garth Webb Secondary School) and Milton' s Daniel Jolic (Bishop Reding Catholic Secondary School), Alexis Del Papa (Craig Kielburger Sec ondary School), Dua Alam (Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary School), submitted written and video essays on nutrition-related topics. The topics are associated with the OMDREB President' s Chari ties, Food4Kids and Halton Food for Thought. Jolic, Fisico and Alam wrote essays about the impact of malnutrition on academic success, while Del Papa submitted a video offering as sistance to families on how to meet their daily needs and food plans, according to an OMDREB release. "These students have demonstrated an incred ible drive and passion to excel both inside and outside of the classroom," said 2016 OMDREB President Dennis Horton.
