I have a story that has something to do with this. It all started the day we got out for Christmas holidays, the date was the 10th of December. Ring, ring, ring class is over every body have a merry Christmas said the teacher. We got ready and all bolted out, especially me because my family was going to Ottawa to visit my aunt and uncle. It took 5 hours to get there not to mention my 2 annoy ing brothers and parents insisted on singing Christmas songs. It was a disaster. Finally we pulled up to my Aunt Bev and Uncle Monty's house we walked up and rang the doorbell. My 15 year old cousin Erin greeted us in and welcomed us in. We got to the rooms we would be sleeping in we unpacked and then went skating on the Rideau Canal we all wore wooly sweaters, hats, leggings, and warm coats. After we skated w went to get hot beaver tails then walked home. The next we went to explore Ottawa. First we went to the Parliament Buildings. Then at 12:00 we went to eat lunch. Then we got someone to write our names on a piece of rice. While I waiting in line I saw some homeless people I felt so so bad because there was 2 little kids. It was sad because it was so close to Christmas. I told my Uncle Monty and he asked if the homeless family to come for dinner. I was happy for the family but a little sad because there was so many homeless people. It was then that I made my Christmas wish so I hope that everyone had a very merry Christmas. Jessica P. He is our master we should go to church every week, especially on Christmas day because on Christmas it is Jesus' birthday. St. Matthew's School Grade 4 My Favourite Christmas Memory My favourite Christmas memory is when they said there was a winter car nival so we decided to go. We got there in 2 hours and there was no winter car nival. So we decided to do the winter carnival ourselves. We shoveled the snow off the ice, got our skates on and started skating. We skated for about 3 hours and went to our cottage for hot chocolate. It was now December 24th the day before Christmas and we had our Christmas at our cottage. We went tobogganing down the hill then went skating. I went to bed at 10:30 p.m. but I was up `till 12:00 because I didn't know if Santa would come to the cot tage. I finally fell asleep. The next morning at 8:00 I looked under the tree and there were tons of presents. That was my favourite Christmas memory because we spent it at the cot tage and we never had before. Michelle P.
