On Friday, Dec. 8th, the Grade 4 S cho o l New s students at Oakwood Public School (See `Looking' page A6) were confronted by an armoured knight and whisked back in time to the 12th Century. The knight helped the students conclude their studies on Medieval Times. The students had one heck of a laugh as Mr. Peter Hurley, our knight, explained what it was like to be a Medieval Man at Arms. He did it in a fun and informative way. The Grade 4's were amazed by the weapons. They looked at and even held some of the dulled weapons. They were saying things like, "Check out the battle-ax!" or "Dad, did you see that sword?" or "This thing is way cool!" Our Medieval knight was really Mr. Peter Hurley, an actor and fight director.
