C4 THE OAKVILLE BEAVER Tuesday, December 21, 1999 A Childs Christmas C h ristm as S h arin g If I had a Christmas Wish... I would wish for everyone to have a great Christmas. Christmas is a time when people share and have fun and are with their family. I never forget that Santa comes and when I wake up the pre sents are under the tree. My tree this Christmas is shiny as gold. It makes the whole room sparkle. Christmas is about being with your friend. I enjoy Christmas because it is a good time to be with your family and friends. I can't wait much longer for Christmas day to come. Merry Christmas!! Cameron S. D ecorating the tree My favourite Christmas... was last year. We did a lot of family things even before Christmas. Before Christmas we went to Judy's Restaurant and ate. After we went to get our tree. The next day we decorated the tree. It is fun when my family decorates the tree together. On Christmas day I was very excited. I was surprised when I got a C.D. player, slip pers and a football. My aunt gave me $25. I hope that this year's Christmas will be as good as last Christmas Elyse O. fat? Well he does eat so many cookies but how could he eat them all? Because of the magic. How do elves make so many toys? Magic. How does his bag fill up so many times? Magic. So I guess that's a lot of stories of a magical Christmas. . , ,, Jocelyn P. Puppies are great? If I had one Christmas wish... It would be to have a puppy. A puppy would be great in many different ways. It would also not be so good but he could be really great like do my chores. Especially when I want him to get me the paper, when he could help me get my exercise, and he could be like a great big teddy bear that is alive. I would want my wish to come true in many different ways because I have always wanted a puppy, I would always have a friend to play with who likes me and to scare off robbers. Sometimes I would also regret getting a puppy because I would have to pick up his waste, have to feed him, and I would have to walk him. But besides that it would be great! ,, ,, Emily H. would wish that they all talked and get a bed for all of them. Then I would wish that I had a portable T.V. with a satel lite. I would watch all the shows. I would bring it to school and watch movies at night, it would be great! Next I would wish for a computer so I could go on whenever I wanted. I would get every game invented. Finally I would wish I was rich and famous. I could be on T.V. and get stuff free. I know it's impossible that this wish would come true but I WISH it will. ... T T Alison H. teacher for all our lives. I know that, that can't happen, but I will surely wish for it to come true. _ Claire S. C h ristm as eve stories Christmas is magical because... Christmas is a magical time for every one. People all over the world celebrate Christmas. Christmas isn't just about getting presents it's all about baby Jesus' birth. What makes Christmas most magical is Santa and Rudolph. He brings you presents but only if you are good. All the Christmas stories about Santa and Rudolph which parents read to their children on Christmas eve. Christmas is also magical when it snows and you go skating. When you decorate the tree and have on your Christmas music. When you drink egg nog and have a good time with your family and friends. Alexandra G. I t's m agic. A magical Christmas... People say Christmas magic does not exist and Santa does not exist either. But I think he does because how do we get pre sents on Christmas mom or find your milk and cookies gone? After all Santa does bring magic with him! Magic is probably what keeps everything going smoothly. No one knows what it looks like, feels like and how many wonders ·it has done. Let me see here, reindeer fly, going down chimneys, finding out who is naughty or nice, his bag filling up, all those cookies, elves making all those toys and Santa gets so fat. Now I'll explain how I think and some other people's magic works on Christmas. The reindeer, well maybe Santa sprin kles magic on them so they can swim in the air. Another question is how he gets down all those chimneys. Maybe he shrinks so thin to fit and some say if they have no fireplace a keyhole or a crack somewhere. That must be magic and finding out who's naughty or nice is tough. There are about a billion kids. You think that's a lot of magic well there's still more if you think hard. Santa as you all know is very fat but have you ever thought how he got so J esu s' birth Christmas is magical... Christmas is a time when we receive and give gifts. We also celebrate Jesus' birth. On Christmas day, we have our family over for dinner or lunch. Santa is magical. I've always wondered how he gets down the chimney. I think maybe he has a wand and taps himself with it 25 times. Then he is magically inside. Santa carries the whole world's pre sents in his bag and delivers them all in one night. His sleigh flies. I believe Santa is really magic. Santa's reindeer fly his sleigh. Reindeer look like deer. Mary B. M y F a v o u rite C h ristm as My favourite Christmas was 1995 when I got a Sega Genesis and hock ey game. It was my favourite Christ mas because I got too many presents. We gave Santa the left over cookies that my family baked. It would have been even better if I was old enough to have the present I really wanted. I couldn't get to sleep the night before because I wanted to see Santa. I guess I had a feeling it was going to be a spe cial Christmas! JohnW. Future C hristm as is best My favourite Christmas... was when I got my Super Nintendo from Santa and I love it. That's why I believe in Santa. Now every Christmas the one thing I really want I always get. This year I want Nintendo 64 and I hope I get it. Next year I want a Drum Set and I bet I'm going to get it. For Christmas 1999 for Nintendo 64 I want Super Smash Bros, as a game for Nintendo 64. Then that will be my best Christmas. Another favourite Christmas of mine was when I was three and I got a guitar and I played with it until it broke and that was when I was four years old. I never got another guitar ever again in my life. I liked gui tars when I was that little but now I like the Drums, and this year I had a choice between a Nintendo 64 or a Drum Set. Merry Christmas 1999. Michael C. A w ish full o f wishes If I had one Christmas wish... I would wish that all my wishes would come true. I would have everything I ever wanted! I would wish that I had a family of dogs so I could cuddle up with them, pet them, walk them and play with them, since I've always want ed a dog. I would get some huskies so in the winter, I could dog sled. I would also wish for every beanie baby in the world. I could play for hours with every one! I would have a bed full of beanie babies, it would be great! Next I would wish for the biggest teddy bear collec tion in the world. (I love to play) I D ream s o f d rivin g If I had one Christmas wish... I would ask for a Ferrari. I want it next Christmas because I won't be old enough. Next year I will be old enough to drive it! I will take lessons to learn to drive my Ferrari. The only bad thing is that I have to drive with my parents but when I get older I will be able to drive. I dream about the day when I'm 20 years old and I can drive without parents. Hopefully Santa will give me a mansion to live in. Cameron N. M any C hristm as w ishes If I had one Christmas wish... I would wish for all my wishes to come true. My first wish would be, to be on a Canadian soccer team, to have the biggest collection of beanie babies in the world, and to get kick master. Sec ond I have wishes for Santa, for Santa to get down the chimney safely, for me to go to Santa's work shop and see if Santa is really real. And last of all, I wish for school to be out for 11 years and when we went back to school we had classes of ten, and had the same F a v o u rite tree orn a m en ts My favourite Christmas... was in 1996 when I got tons of pre sents and we had a great Christ mas tree. There are 10 ornaments on my tree that I like. They are: a glass star, a horse, baby's first, second, third, fourth and fifth Christmas, Christmas balls, tinsel, stringed popcorn, the angel, a star that is yellow, a Rudolph, and candy canes. That night in 1996 when I went to sleep, I heard noises downstairs. So I went down the stairs and saw my mom and dad wrapping presents and she said to go to bed. So I asked if I could go upstairs when they go up to bed but they said "No." So I went upstairs and they came upstairs when I went up to bed. I remembered that there were 20 presents under the tree. The next morning I went into my mom and dad's room and I got them up and asked them if I could go down stairs. I woke my brother up and they went downstairs. I fol lowed them. I saw that there were 45 more presents under neath the tree. There was 10 presents in my stocking, five were unwrapped and five were wrapped. A few minutes later our Nanny and Papa came over. One hour later, we opened all the presents and they were all great presents. Then we went over to our Nanny and Papa's house and got more pre sents. We got home and had lunch and a few hours later we went back for dinner.
