The Bruins had to dig down deep as they trailed the visitors 41-32 at the half. The second half saw Sheridan turn it up defensively and that keyed a 15-3 run, giving the Bruins the lead midway through the second half. Solid defensive play, a Bruin trademark, anchored the victory. "Our defence in the second half was the key," said Bruins assistant coach Nick Davis. "We put more pressure on their guards and that led to lots of steals and disrupted their offence." Sheridan had 19 steals and forced 30 Husky turnovers. All Canadian guard Shane Bascoe scored 20 points with five assists and led the way defensive ly with six steals. Chris Coote had a solid game inside with 11 points and six rebounds. Elvis Dennis had 10 points and Chris Bennett added eight. The Bruins hosted their long time rivals, the Humber Hawks, last night. The game went beyond our Wednesday edition press deadlines.
