In front of their hom e fans for the seventh game of their best-of-seven M ajor Series Lacrosse semifinal playoff series, the Chiefs came back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Rock 11-7 Tuesday night. Six Nations clinched the series title one night after the Rock extended it to the m axim um num ber with a 5-4 win in Oakville. Tuesday, Oakville led 3-0 in the first period, 5-3 early in the second period and went into the third period tied at 5-5. The Chiefs proceeded to score four straight goals in the first six m inutes of the third to take a 9-5 lead. The R ock twice scored goals with an extra attack er, but both times Six Nations responded with goals of its own. Wesley Berg and Jeremy Noble scored two goals each for the Rock, with singles going to Connor Fields, Rob Hellyer and Dan Lom as. Hellyer and Fields both had four-point nights. Vaughn Harris led the Chiefs with three goals and two assists while D awson and Ryan Benesch scored a goal and five assists each. Goalies N ick Rose of the Rock and Dillon Ward of the Chiefs stopped 42 shots each. Six Nations advances to the league finals against the Peterborough Lakers, who w rapped up their se ries against Brooklin with a Game 6 win Wednesday. In M onday's gam e at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre, a five-goal, first-period burst w as the key to Oakville's win. After a scoreless first period, Six N ations led 1-0 early in the m iddle frame when the R ock's Dan M aC rae, Mitch D esnoo, Berg, L om as and Brett Hickey scored in a span of four m inutes and 20 seconds to give Oakville a 5-1 lead. The last two goals came on the power play. The two team s traded goals before the period end ed, Berg scoring his second for the R ock as a part of his four-point night. Six Nations put a rally of its own together in the third period, scoring three straight goals to trail 6-5 with half a period to play. Lom as gave the Rock som e breathing room with the gam e's last goal with 4:19 remaining. Rose picked up the win in the Rock net, stop ping 39 shots. Stephan Leblanc had three assists for Oakville.
