Last year over 8,000 people enjoyed the bright colours, exotic sounds and food, with proceeds going to the United Way of Oakville campaign. The event will feature different cultural groups spread throughout the town, each showcasing their diverse heritage through music, food, crafts and entertainment. Passports, available for $6 in advance or $8 at the door, allow unlimited access to all events and locations. Children under 12 are admitted free. Confirmed participants this year include a Latin America cabaret show, Filipino dancers, unique costumes from the Arab nations, reggae and calypso sounds from the Caribbean, food from Greece and Portugal. A free commuter service will transport passport holders to all pavilion destinations at frequent intervals. The service has been donated by Attridge Transportation of Burlington. For more information about volunteering, pass port selling or hosting a pavilion, call Kathleen Steele, Project Manager, Carousel of Nations, 845-5571. S U M M E R SALE!
