Firefighters were called to the Randall Street house of worship at around 1 1:10 a.m., after receiving reports that a man had become trapped after the scissor lift, which he had been using perform roofing work, struck the side of the church. Deputy Fire Chief Andy Glynn said the individual on the lift was concerned bring ing the lift down would cause damage to the church and contacted the fire department to get him down.
