To celebrate this milestone, Halton Region will host a free community open house and Doors Open event for residents to get a behind-thescenes look at the Halton Waste Management Site. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 5400 Regional Road 25 in Milton. Get ready for back to school by updating immunization records As a parent, you want to keep your children safe and healthy. With school starting soon, you can protect their health by making sure their immunizations are up-to-date and reporting them to the Health Department. Ontario's Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA) requires that public health departments track students' immunization records or exemptions. Since immunization reporting is important for our children's health and required for them to attend school, Halton has made it easier than ever to report. You can report immunizations online at halton.ca/immunize, in person or by calling 311. You can even take a picture of your immunization record and submit it to us online! If you are unsure of which immunizations the Health Department has on file, you can fill out an online immunization records request form to receive a copy of the immunization records we have on file. If your child is unable to get immunized or if you choose not to, you must have a notarized exemption on file with the Health Department in order to meet school attendance requirements. Through Halton's commitment to protecting and enhancing the natural environment as well as the efforts of Halton residents in waste diversion programs, the landfill life is now projected to the year 2044!
