Academy Award nominees Sally Hawkins and Ethan Hawke star in the true story of Maud Lewis, who overcame the physical challenge of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis to become one of Canada's premier folk artists. The movie comes from Canada/Ireland. Through its partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Monday Night at the Movies offers a special selection of films on select Mondays from September to April at the Cineplex Cinemas Winston Churchill. The independent film series provides Oakville audiences with unique access to some of the world's finest films, not usually in wide distribution. Film screenings start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person, cash only, and can be purchased at the Monday Night at the Movies' table in the lobby of the theatre at 6:45 p.m. prior to the show. Each feature film screening starts with an animation short showcasing the talents of the graduating class from Sheridan College's Computer Animation and Bachelor of Animation programs.
