Friday October 22, 1998 THE OAKVILLE BEAVER 7 Stardust Auction benefits Children's Foundation Helping abused and neglected children is the goal of the Halton Children's Aid Foundation's 3rd Annual Stardust Auction. The auction takes place on Sat. Nov. 13th at Le Dome Banquet Hall on the North Service Road. Mandy Deakin, the auction chairperson, has a committee of enthusiastic volunteers who help to solicit prizes and organize the event. The night will include a champagne reception, silent and live auctions, a hot buffet dinner, followed by dancing and prizes. Dan Ferrone of Ferrone Gym & Fitness Centre will emcee the evening. Money generated from last year's Stardust Auction has already benefited the children directly in the form of Bursaries, Summer Day Camps, and the Christmas Gift Program. The contributions help promote a higher quality of life for our disadvan taged and vulnerable children. Corporate sponsorships, donations of goods and services, financial contribu tions or purchasing a corporate table for the evening will be gratefully received. The Halton office of the Children's Aid Society and the Children's Aid Foundation, which is the fundraising arm of the society, has recently moved to 5045 South Service Road, Burlington. Randy Puma, the executive director, can be reached by phone at 905-333-4441 ext. 214, or by fax at 905-333-1844. Auction tickets are $75 per person, corporate tables of 10 are $750 and raffle tickets are $10 each or three for $25. Donations from the Halton commu nity enabled last y ear's Stardust Auction to generate $25,000 for the C.A.F.
