In both instances, the victims were threatened at gunpoint and told to undress. A suspect was arrested, Wednesday, after an observant female student who recognized him from a description post ed on flyers distributed in the Sheridan area. She contacted college security staff who located the suspect and detained him until police arrived. Officers took the youth into custody and their subsequent investigation resulted in charges stemming from two attacks on women on Monday and Tuesday in a wooded area near the cam pus. Pipelines will open north Halton for development By Howard Mozei OAKVILLE BEAVER STAFF W ater has long been considered the life-blood of any society and with Wednesday's official groundbreak ing for the long-awaited water and wastewater pipelines into north Halton, that adage was underscored yet again. The pipelines from Upper Middle Road in Oakville to Derry Road in Milton will cost $35 million -- all paid by developers. Although the huge project will impact all of Halton, no one was more pleased than Milton Mayor Gordon Krantz. After all, with vastly expanded water and wastewater capac ity in his municipality, the development of 6,700 residential units and between 500 and 700 acres of employment lands can now pro ceed. "Not only will Milton benefit, but also Halton Hills and Oakville," said Krantz. "It will benefit everyone in the area." The huge project has been on the drawing board for almost 15 years.
