Each year MADD Canada, which is headquartered in Oakville, produces a school assembly program highlighted by a video that is presented personally by MADD representatives to some million students in middle and high schools across Canada. The video is a 30-minute drama, followed by about 15 minutes of hard-hitting scenes of real people talking about the losses of their loved ones. This year the story features a high school band working on their demo at a recording studio after winning a battle of the bands. There is also a recording school and one of the band members is asked to audition, and is then later accepted into the program. Tempers flare as the teens wrestle with the fact that one member has been singled out. Leaving the studio, they're arguing and one of the band members, the driver, has had a few too many drinks... one of the teens calls 911 from the back seat to report him. Sadly, it' s too late, and a horrible accident occurs that will change their lives forever. Filmed on Chisholm Drive near Milton Hydro in early November, the crash scene depicts a car flipped onto its roof, while EMS and Halton police officers are on-site. Producers said they spent a day on location, and thanked Halton police, the Milton Fire Department, Milton Hydro and Halton paramedics for their support. Halton paramedics and Halton police officers were part of the MADD Canada filming of a short video entitled No Tomorrow that is to be shown at school assemblies next fall. | Graham Paine/Metroland They went on to say that production went very smoothly and they were able to capture exactly what they were looking for. MADD knows that in presenting its message in a creative and engaging way, it will encourage teenagers to think twice and plan ahead when they're making social plans ... and save lives. Saving lives is the reason the organization keeps doing the videos. This recently-filmed video will be shown to students beginning in the fall of 2018. /c v B o o t w a Ik- o n - a i r Doctors recom m end the kyBoot " kyBoots help you keep balance and activate your muscles, fromyour toes to yourback: they are helpful in the treatment ofpain in the heels and forefeet, and are a method of choice to support the treatment of pain in the Achilles tendon and back." - Dr. M arkus Muller, sp e cia list in orthopaedic surgery, foot surgery practitioner, Lucerne f lr o m P ?
