The former OTMH closed in 2015, after serving the Oakville community for 65 years. Proceeds from the sale of reclaimed bricks will go to the Oakville Hospital Foundation to support the ever growing and changing healthcare needs of a much larger and more advanced hospital. The idea to sell old bricks to raise money for the new hospital started about two years ago, said Chris Coderre, vice-president and investment advisor at Caldwell Securities Ltd., as a way of giving something back to the community. Originally, Coderre says they were just taking reservations for the bricks, but now the campaign is going full steam ahead. The Oakville Hospital Foundation, Caldwell Securities, Cropac Cranes, D'Orazio Construction and Perspective Marketing have made a limited amount of bricks available for purchase in the next few months. The goal is to sell 500 reclaimed bricks at $100 each to raise $50,000 for the new hospital, located on Dundas Street and Third Line. "One hundred per cent of the proceeds are going to the foundation," said Coderre. Each donor will receive a $100 charitable tax receipt from the Oakville Hospital Foundation. Oakville Hospital Foundation says the organization has long understood that the hospital is built of more than just bricks and mortar. But now, the community can help put Halton Women's Place presents... F e b r u a r y 2 4 th , D'Orazio Infrastructure Group President Jim D'Orazio buys the first brick from Caldwell Securities Vice President Chris Coderre during the kickoff for the Oakville Hospital Foundation's Buy a Brick campaign in which anyone who donates $100 will receive a reclaimed brick from the old hospital site. The goal of the campaign is to sell 500 bricks to raise $50,000 for the hospital. 2 0 1 $ Commemorating 40 Years in Halton " f \ / / c u a e a /w a y A fa d th e p o w e r , m y d e a r. h a d to le a rn itfo ry o u rA e f.
