Next week, you will receive our Thursday, Dec. 21 and Friday, Dec. 22 editions and then you can plan on receiving our new Thursday edition on Thursday, Dec. 28 and Thursday, Jan. 4 and every Thursday thereafter. According to Kelly Montague, regional general manager, Halton, Metroland Media, "The new publication will see our reporters with a higher visibility in the community to better cover local and breaking news that will be reported in our weekly print publication as well as online daily. "As well, one large edition will ensure content is viewed and results for advertising partners are assured. The change will also allow us to improve delivery and verification of delivery -- and expand the print newspaper to newer communities." "Our business has transitioned to become truly multi-media and our readers are consuming our product in different ways: print, mobile, desktop and social media. With the ability to report news and deliver advertising via all these platforms, we have more readership than in the history of our publishing. We are continuing this growth with focus on digital and maintaining our effective print connection as well. This change will allow us to provide improved products and services for our consumers," said Montague. As of Dec. 28, we will be publishing a Thursday edition of The Oakville Beaver each week. Daily news and access to the community will remain available through insidehalton.com. The Thursday edition is consumed by more than 80 per cent of Oakville residents on a regular basis (Brandspark Readership Study), and is delivered to more than 55,000 (53,000 for Oakville) homes each week. Insidehalton averages 800k-one million page views a month with more than 12K followers on Twitter and more than 11K followers on facebook. "We are your connection to the community," said Montague.
