The town is proposing a newTown-Wide By-Law called the "Cultural Heritage Landscape Conservation Plan By-law".This by-lawwould provideforthe preparation of Conservation Plans for cultural heritage landscapes in Oakville. On a site specific basis, the town is proposing at this time the adoption of a Conservation Plan for the Glen Abbey Cultural Heritage Landscape. The Open House will also address and ask for your feedback on the newly proposed Site Specific Official Plan Amendment and Zoning Bylaw Amendment for the Glen Abbey Property. Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road Council Cham ber Take Notice that on January 29, 2018, Oakville Town Council will hold a public meeting pursuant to the Development Charges Act, 1997, regarding proposed development charge rates and policies that will be applied in the town. Development charges are levied against new development, and are a primary source of funding growth-related capital expenditures in the Town. The public meeting is being held by Town Council pursuant to the provisions of the Development Charges Act, 1997, which require that Council hold at least one public meeting before passage of a development charges by-law. The purpose of this meeting is to allow the public the opportunity to review and provide comments on the 2018 Development Charges Background Study and the proposed Development Charges By-law. After the public meeting, Council may choose to adopt the 2018 Development Charges Background Study and the proposed Development Charges By-law on February 26, 2018. Copies of the 2018 Development Charges Background Study and the proposed Development Charges By-law will be available on December 22, 2017, on the town web site at oakville.ca and at the ServiceOakville counter at Town Hall. In addition, members of the public are welcome to attend a public information meeting conducted by Town staff on January 29, 2018, at 7 p.m. at Town Hall to respond to questions regarding the Background Study and the proposed Development Charges By-law. The agenda for the Town Council public meeting on January 29, 2018, in addition to the aforementioned copies of the Background Study and the proposed Development Charges By-law, will be available on the town's website as of January 26, 2018. Written submissions on the Background Study and/or the proposed Development Charges By-law are invited and should be directed to the Town Clerk at Town Hall for receipt no later than noon, January 29, 2018. Those wishing to address Town Council at the Council meeting of February 26, 2018, must advise the Town Clerk at Town Hall, or by fax at 905-815-2025, or by email attownclerk@oakville.ca, by no later than noon, February 26, 2018.
