After more than 20 years, Kerr Street Mission (KSM) has become a hub for so many in our community offering much needed programs like community meals, food market, after school care, youth programs and many more. KSM is committed to helping families try to rise above their circumstances by offering support, encouragement and guidance. The Kerr School Age Program (KSAP) provides after-school care for up to 30 children from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5. Parents can work knowing their children will receive loving care, a nutritious snack, literacy and numeracy programming, a daily hour of physical activity, and the opportunity to form long-lasting friendships. Every child receives positive attention, encouragement, and is fully engaged in the program. KSAP is an excellent setting for children to learn, play, and develop skills. Unique to other similar programs, KSAP Family Dinners, held the second Friday of each month, gives parents the chance to get to know the KSAP teachers, their child's friends, and to meet other parents. It is the perfect opportunity to plan a playdate or outing. D id y o u k n o w ... ■ KSAP runs Monday to Friday from 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm 40 weeks per year. ■ KSAP is one of the oldest programs run by KSM. It has been part of our activities for more than 20 years. ■ Many of our students come back to volunteer with us when they are in High School, and later as Youth Staff or Day Camp leaders or even directors. We need your support. Please give generously, so that together we can continue to provide help and hope for individuals and families in need in Oakville.
