The editor-at-large for Chatelaine m agazine, was honoured in the Education, Training and Development category. The awards, sponsored by the Erin Mills Town Centre, are the first of their kind to recognize business women in Halton and Peel regions. 'T o celebrate our first decade in business, we wanted to recognize the women who help make the Halton and Peel regions vibrant and active busi ness com m unities," said Wendy Greenwood, M anager, Portfolio Guide to commercial property released The Oakville Economic Development Alliance Inc. (OEDA) has released the Fall 1999 Edition of the Available Industrial/Office Property Guide. The guide, as of September 1999, contains over 140 listings of prop erties within Oakville that are either for sale or for lease. The guide is used by realtors, devel opers, site location specialists, and landowners to identify sites -- whether they be existing buildings or vacant land -- to which local companies can expand, or to which companies from outside Oakville can relocate. "It's simple really," says David Ballam, Investment and Client Development Officer for the OEDA. "If our office receives information that a company requires 50,000 sq. ft. of indus trial space, we can use the Property Guide to identify available buildings in that size range." "Conversely," says Ballam, "if there is not an available building, we can refer the client to a parcel of available land."
