Established in 1969, East Side Auto mechanics are fully licensed certified technicians that handle all the technical aspects of repairing and servicing your car for all makes and models, all the way from brakes, engine work, general maintenance and even new vehicle recommended services. Growing up racing go-karts, Glen decided to follow in the footsteps of his father Merv and became a partner in East Side Auto. Glen can attribute much of the success of East Side Auto to the quality of time spent with each customer. According to Glen "One of the biggest things is building trust and honesty and friendly service". This means a lot to each person that walks through the door of East Side Auto. Knowing that something is wrong with your car and getting the proper explanation on how it can be fixed is critical. This means effectively communicating what is required to do the job for the customer. The staff have been known to actually take their customers right into the engine shop to show them exactly the problem with their car. now that is customer service! Helping the community has also provided East Side Auto numerous opportunities to enhance their customer relationships. Providing sponsorship to local children's sports teams. "We recently sponsored one of our customer's kids soccer team which was a lot of fun" says Glen. East Side is also one of the original three shops having an association with the CAA when the program was founded. The success of East Side Auto can be summed up in two words. Repeat Business. The customers of East Side Auto also provide one of the highest compliments that anyone in the business could ask for referrals of friends and family from existing customers. "W: know we are doing something right treating the customer with respect because they keep coming back", Glen says. It's not the bottom line that Glen is concerned about On average East Side Auto will receive a refenal from new clients just after two visits. If your looking for someone to treat you right and service your car find a mechanic you trust and don't jump around to a bunch of different shops. Stick with someone who knows your car. "Here at East Side we don't tend to w ary too much about those guys". They can't provide the quality of value added service that the smaller shops can provide. In cut-throat industries like automotive repair, price is a killer. Going that extra mile is a must to retain clients and showing the willingness to explain why some of your services are more expensive than the next guy. The advice Glen has f a other business owneis in the community is to treat all people with the utmost respect and fairness. That will continue to attract people to you and your business. Never let your frustrations out with a customer. There is always a way to find a solution to any problem that you may encounter. Also continue to stay innovative.
