NEWS Police investigating North Oakville break-ins Metroland photo Halton police DAVID LEA dlea@oakvillebeaver.com OAKVILLE - Halton po­ lice are looking for two sus­ pects following a break-in to a home on Glenbrook Ave­ nue, which occurred Mon­ day, Jan. 22. At around 1 p.m., a per­ son at the residence heard a noise and went to investi­ gate. They soon discovered their front door had been forced open, police said. Two men fled the area when they realized some­ one was inside the house. Nothing was stolen. The two individuals are described as wearing dark clothing. They were seen driving away in a white SUV. Police are also looking for the individuals responsi­ ble for breaking into a home on Highridge Court on Monday, Jan. 22. At some point between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., someone forced open the dwelling's front door, police said. The intruder stole jewel­ ry and cash. No one was home at the time of the break-in. Police are also looking into a break-in at a home on Hickory Circle, which oc­ curred on Sunday, Jan. 21. At around 7:30 p.m., someone forced open the front door, police said. The residents were home, however, the intrud­ er was still able to steal a Dell laptop before fleeing the scene. The laptop is valued at $500.
