NEWS Police seize 75 kilos of pot following drug investigation Halton Police photo Police executed a search warrant on an Oakville home, where they say they seized 75 kilograms of marijuana w ith an estimated street value of $330,000. Two Oakville residents have been charged with drug trafficking following a recent investigation by Hal­ ton Regional Police Ser­ vice's street crime unit. The investigation, in­ volving the suspected traf­ ficking of large amounts of marijuana, led to the Feb. 15 arrest of male and female who were allegedly found to be in possession of a large quantity of the drug. A search warrant was subsequently executed at an Oakville residence on Feb. 16. As a result, police seized the following: . 75 kilograms of mari­ juana . $40,000 cash . a 2017 GMC Sierra . a 2014 Nissan Rogue The estimate value of the marijuana seized, accord­ ing to police, is $330,000. Maziar Vesalpour, 32, and Emily Forrieter, 27, both of Oakville, have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
