Beloved w ife of the late Harold. Loving mother to Heather (Murray) and Tina (Paul). Cherished grandmother to Aaron (Melania), Tanya (Shaun), David, and Zoe, and great-grandmother to Mya, Caleb, and Madison. Ethel was born in Nantymoel, South Wales, and immigrated to Canada in 1957. She was a long time resident of Oakvil le, and also worked and worshipped within the community. Ethel was an inspiration to family and friends with her thoughtfulness, dedication, generosity, and always putting others before herself. She will be deeply missed, and forever lovingly remembered, by family and friends in Canada and Wales. As a favourite Welsh poem says... "To be born Welsh is to be born privileged. Not w ith a silver spoon in your mouth, but with music in your blood and poetry in your soul." This was true of Ethel who had a beautiful caring soul, and she will be forever in our hearts. Ethel was laid to rest at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, Oakville. A service was held at Glen Oaks on February 21, 2018, followed by interment. Memorial donations made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario, in memory of Ethel would be appreciated by the family. He has joined his beloved baby brother, Colin. FANELLI, Pasqua Pasqua passed away peacefully at the Oakville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the age of 93. She will be remembered w ith love and adoration by her children and their spouses Pasquale (wife Berenice), Franco (wife Susan) and Marisa, along with surviving brothers Giovanni and Carmen. Sadly missed by her four grand­ children Benjamin, Christopher, William, Laura, great-grandchild and her many nieces and nephews. Pasqua was predeceased by her beloved husband Vito Antonio and Bernhard. She fo u g h t her way through losing her husband early in her life, while still providing for three children. The level of tenacity, self-determination, and sometimes hardheadedness that she possessed will hopefully live on through her grandchildren as it does in her own children. Rest in Peace Dad HORNBY, Olive (nee Watson) Our beloved and cherished Olive passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on February 12, 2018 in her 88th year. Olive is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 67 years, Albert Edward Hornby. Olive will be forever remembered by her son James David (Mary-Anne), her daughter Pamela (Marc), her grandchildren Jonathan, Corinne, Christopher (Amanda), Allison (Alex), and Sarah (Ryan), and g rea t grandson Ethan as well as her brother- in-law Ron and nieces Beverly, Karen, and Michelle and the ir families. Olive was born in Jarrow, England January 24, 1930. She was pre­ deceased by her mother Phoebe Watson, her father David Watson, and sisters Nancy Armstrong and Audrey Hunter. Olive spent the majority of her career at the Atomic Energy of Canada where she also enjoyed organizing social events especially dances. She and Albert enjoyed many happy years at their home in Port Charlotte Florida g o l f i n g , la w n b o w l in g and participating in all the events that made Maple Leaf Golf and Country Club their favourite winter retreat. Olive was competitive by nature and loved the challenge of a game of lawn bowling and enjoyed many happy times as a member of the Oakville Lawn and Bowling Club. She will be missed but not forgotten by her family and many friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Olive's life will take place at Knox Presbyterian Church 89 Dunn St., Oakville, ON L6J 3C8 on February 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the church.
