MARVELâ€"OUS FLOAT: The Darling Home for Kids was well represented in the Milton Santa Claus Parade thanks to Cogeco, which sponsored the notâ€"forâ€"profit organization that cares for medicallyâ€"fragile children‘s participation in the annual parade. This year‘s theme, superheroes, was a powerful display representing the courage and bravery of the Darling Home‘s plucky clients, featured in costume Kristin Horrell, left, as Catwoman. Brian Meschino, Milton Y Insidehalton.com ‘zZ 13qwaoag Aepsuny1 | £ night before Christmas... Remembering the 2013 ice storm Dear Editor, T‘was the night before Christmas and all through the house, Not a creature was washing, not even a spouse. The tank with the water had no power to heat, Something had happened â€" and it‘s Christmas â€" we‘re beat. The "ice storm" had caused it â€" I don‘t know how, But it‘s Christmas Eve here and can‘t be fixed now. So with hot water cold and no help in sight, Mr. and Mrs. were done for the night. When out on the driveway, I heard a loud rustle, It came from two feet, which had come on the hustle. With tools and a flashlight â€" multimeter and fan, I knew in an instant it must be friend Dan. Dressed in his jeans and red shirt of flannel, He spoke not a word, but went straight to the panel. "Well this wire goes here and that wire there," He stated with certainty, politeness and care. He twisted the wires and moved them around, "Remember white is the neutral and green is the ground." He made it all work as gyood friends will do, And while he was at it, fixed other things too. He flipped on the switch to make sure it worked right, Then off he was gone in the still of the night. And I heard him exclaim as he passed out of view, Just give me a shout, if there‘s more I can do! | NOIIWVHJI NYVIGVNYI NOLTW | oTOZ Tom Weinstein, Milton and reject letters.
