The Water Activities Committee has just put together a spectacular program. In addition to last year‘s exciting and popular events such as the Lake Ontario Poker Run and the Yamaha Water Show, this year‘s water program includes several more participatory activities to make the festival even more fun for spectators. Home ports are Miami, Port Canaveral, and San Juan. This fall, Carnival will position and market one of its ships (the Carnivale) into the Latin American market. It will sail from San Juan, cater to the Mexican, Central, and South American markets, with all services and entertainment in the Spanish language. Carnival has developed their theme as the "Fun Ship" cruises. This has led some people to believe that their ships are filled with young people partying day and night. The decor on their glittering fleet of ships is "glittering" (check brochures and view their videos), but these ships are filled with young people of ALL ages who like to have fun (who doesn‘t). Last year â€" of the 900,000 pasâ€" sengers who cruised on Carnival ships â€" 30% were under 35, 40% were 35â€"55, and 30% were over 55 years.
