’ NOTICE OF STUDY COMPLETION On June 9, 1993, Regional Council adopted the results of the Environmentally Sensitive Area (ESA) Study (1993) as the basis for incorporating new ESA boundaries into the New Regional Official Plan. The 1993 ESA study is an important background study supporting the New Regional Official Plan. Regional Council is currently reviewing the Regional Official Plan, a legal document that guides the physical development of the Region. A Draft New Regional Plan was released for public discussion in March 1993. Several public open houses and workshops were held during the months of March to May 1993. The map below shows the existing ESA’s, additions to existing ESA’s and new ESA’s. 'Oakville's Best Dad' pmud of his .15 kids “I guess it is somewhat unusual to have 15 children,†Dave Brown said tentatively the other day. It seems the River Oaks man â€" a Ford engineer â€" is inclined to understatement. He’s a low-key guy, level-headed, hard-worker who uses words like “teamwork and co-operation.†Last week, Brown was declared “Oakville’s Best Dad" by the Oakville North News, based on a letter from his nine-year-old son, Kevin. According to Kevin, his dad “can ï¬x anything, cook scrambled eggs, and macaroni, and he takes us to the doc- tor when we don’t feel good.†The Oakville North News is published every Friday by the Oakville Beaver 467 Speers Rd. The $50 gift certiï¬cate came in real handy on Father’s Day when the fam~ ily trundled off to The Keg for dinner. But let’s just step back a minute and ï¬ll in a few details, so you under- stand the scope and magnitude of this story. The Browns have been married for 31 years. But he doesn’t really need assis- tance. The children range in age from 30 to 7, with names like Karen, Kim, Sandy, Susie, Christopher, Amanda, Margaret, Andrew, Catlyn, Tommy, Jennifer, Kevin, Timothy, Matthew, and Donna. In addition, this ‘super- dad’ is a grand-dad by virtue of his daughter Susie’s two little ones, Jacob and Jessica. Frankly, it boggles the reporter’s mind. He opened his bulging wallet and displayed the pic- tures of his crew with obvious delight. And there on top of the television set were photos of the two grand-kids. Brown doesn’t see his situation as extraordinary though. First of all, he said, his four oldest daughters are on their own. (That leaves only 11!) (See 'Busy dad . . . ' page 3)
