The occasion also marks Hilton‘s 25th year with the Halton Roman Catholic Separate School Board as a teacher. She taught Kindergarten at St. John‘s for 10 years, 14 years ago, and this is her first year as principal of the 330 student, Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 school in north Oakyville. Students surprised her with a plaque presentation. About 300 past and present students, parents, and staff attended, and among those bringing greetings was Bonme Brown, MP for Oakvilleâ€"Milton and a former teacher at St. John‘s.
