Business and computer courses The Halton Board of Education‘s Adult Continuing Education has a variety of business courses designed to supplement and augment your skills. It offers a wide and compreâ€" hensive range of businessâ€"based comâ€" puter courses. Industry standard softâ€" ware packages allow each participant to work with materials that they can put into practice immediately: Word processing (WordPerfect, Word for Windows); Spreadsheets (Lotus, Excel); Windows, and Graphics (Corel Draw). The final component of this course is a comprehensive Business Plan centred around a business of your choice. The business offerings extend beyond computers. The accounting program includes: Introductory Accounting, Accounting Applications (Bedford and Simply Accounting for Windows). Comprehensive, challenging, and current â€" each program works with the business environment of today...and tomorrow. It explores the skills that are necessary for today‘s managers to be effective within their respective organizations.
