The girls volleyball game, which was played at Queen Elizabeth Park School on Thursday, went right down to the wire with the Volpe Division (Oakville and east Burlington high schools) needing all five games to subâ€" due the Richardson Division (Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills schools). The boys basketball game, which was played at T.A.Blakelock High School on Friday night, was also close â€" for the first half. Then the Richardson Division, finally capitalizing on their height advanâ€" tage, pulled away for a 114â€"86 verdict. The Richardson Division has won all four years under the present format. The Volpe Division was led by Darren Hugli who scored 26 points and was also named the team MVP.
