All players were presented with a medal present ed by Monilex Sports and the Niagara Old Boys. UPCOMING Summer brings a hiatus to the regular rugby league season but the Oakville Crusaders are keeping plenty busy. This Saturday, they're hosting the first annual Burl-Oak Cup which is a whole series of friendlies, starting at 11 a.m., between the Crusaders and the Burlington Centaurs. It will pit at least five different teams, represent ing the men's teams, the women's team, the over-35s, the U-16 midgets and the U-14 mini (non-contact) rugby teams. An U-18 team and a second men's team may also be added. In the spirit of the day, the score will run continu ously through the games. Club organizers have also invited their respective mayors out for the festivities with the mayor of the losing town being asked to wear the victor's jersey. "What they don't know is that we're going to pick the sweatiest player," quipped Crusader Joe McAllister. This Friday night, 10 p.m. the Crusaders will show the first Tri-Nation match between New Zealand and SQuth Africa (Australia is the other team). Photos by Peter J.
