Freshen Up For Fall Now that the kids are well into school and we are defi nitely into fall it is time to make sure summer planters get freshened up. Transforming these planters into their full fall splendour is the topic for this week's TERRA Trend. Container gardening continues to grow in popularity and changing the planters with each new season is what makes container gardening so much fun. For the fall season the most popular plant to add is the fall mum for its great fall colour. Mums aren't all there are though. Trafalgar Presbyterian Church will celebrate 20 years of wor- ship and community on Sunday at its 10 a.m. service and a spe- cial evening service at 7:30 p.m. Both services will feature music and speakers and an oppor- tunity to revisit 20 years of the history of north Oakville. Trafalgar Presbyterian Church is at 354 Upper Middle Rd. Entrance to the parking lot is off Litchfield Road. The evening service will be attended by MPP Kevin Flynn and Mayor Ann Mulvale. The mayor was present when the congre- gation broke ground at the current site in 1990. The evening will also feature Gordon Haynes, Associate Secretary for Canada Ministries for the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Canada Ministries was responsible for canvassing north Oakville and preparing for the first service of what was then the North East Oakville Presbyterian Church. More than 120 peo- ple attended the first service held in Sheridan Public School. After both services, refreshments will be available as will a display of photo- graphs documenting the history of the church in its community. Both services will also feature the announcement of the Joy Bear program. Named in honour of the late Dr. Joyce Nsubuga, the stuffed bears come dressed for success in their own 'beary' nice T- shirts. Five dollars from the sale of each bear will go directly to the Masooli- Kitettika Learning Centre in Uganda. Dr. Nsubuga founded the centre and it has long been a favourite mission of Trafalgar's congregation. The Joy Bears sell for $10 each, and are available for purchase after each service. The celebrations will continue on Sept. 30 with a concert at the Oakville Town Hall featuring performances by Sarah Cornell and saxophonist Daniel Rubinoff.
