Oakville's Moonshine Café is hosting an Afternoon of Murder on Saturday, Nov. 18. Six prominent Canadian mystery writers will be reading from their latest works, including Oakville's Vicki Delany, whose novels of psychological suspense are set in Ontario's cottage country. Maureen Jennings, known for her award-winning Detective Murdock series, which was adapted for TV by Bravo, will be reading from her new series, Does Your Mother Know. Other authors reading include Rick Blechta, Sylvia Maultash Warsh, Jean Rae Baxter and Jeffrey Miller. An Afternoon of Murder is Saturday, Nov. 18 from 2 - 5 p.m. at Moonshine Café, 137 Kerr St. Relax with an Afternoon of Murder With wars in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, and with Remembrance Day approaching, Poetry with a Conscience has chosen the theme of War and Peace for its reading on Oct. 8.
