Wednesday, May 26, 1999 THE OAKVILLE BEAVER D1 All Miro Majorahn has to do is say the word, and there are several Canadian universities waiting for him to do so. The young swimming sensation, with one year of high school left, pretty much has his choice of where he would like to study kinesiology or veterinary medicine, whatever he decides. Athletes such as Majorahn, who holds five of Queen Elizabeth Park's senior swimming records, don't come along very often, said coach Jim Bonnell: When the swim season began for Majorahn, he was already pumped. A month before, he was in the pool preparing for a trip to China, one of a team selected on the basis of times, for the International School Sport Federation's High School Olympics. That was last October and both Majorahn and his younger sister Mia, had impressive showings, Miro finishing 18th in the world in 50 freestyle and Mia finishing 23rd in 50 free. He capped off his high school Photos by Barrie Erskine Discourage weeds.
