Piper Foods Inc., now owns and operates five McDonald's restaurants in the local area. Organizers said Piper Foods Inc., went above and beyond through its support of Dog Guides of Canada, Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Oakville Hospital Foundation. They also contributed $250,000 toward the con struction of the new Oak ville hospital. "It is an honour to actu ally be able to give back to our community, to see things happen," said Piper. "There are a number of you in this room that do ex actly that . The people at Dog Guides, at the hospital, they are amazing people. They make it very easy to give. I would challenge all of us to continue to give as we move into the future. They need our help."
