Police announced the arrests Wednesday, April 4 at a news con­ ference at the Halton Regional Police Service headquarters in Oakville. During the news conference Oakville Supt. Nick Milinovich noted that Halton police began noticing an increase in residen­ tial break-ins in the region late last year. The group, which included both men and women, would break up into groups of two to four and randomly target homes. Police said one person would knock at the home's front door to see if anyone was home. If no one answered, police al­ lege the suspects would break-in through a rear door.
